I know how to talk. Do I still need speech therapy?
- Yes. Speech therapy encompasses all the areas that allows us to communicate with each other. This includes, but is not limited to sound articulation, auditory comprehension, auditory processing, verbal expression.
I eat just fine. Do I need swallowing therapy?
- Yes. Dysphagia therapy focuses on your ability to safely accept, masticate, and swallow all food and liquid consistencies safely. There are many areas of the swallowing process that can be affected after a stroke or due to neurological decline. Book a consultation today to determine, if you are a candidate for skilled dysphagia therapy.
I am not sure what is going on with me (or my loved one). What should I do?
- f you noticed a sudden change in your overall function, you should see your primary care provider for a medical assessment. If you noticed a change in your speech, language or swallowing book a 20 minute consultation, so we can discuss your symptoms and treatment options.
I do not have health insurance. Can I still get speech therapy?
- Yes. Speech Bar accepts all major debit/credit cards and electronic checks. Payment is required at the time of booking or the day of your service. Contact me today to learn about payment options.
Do you accept health insurance?
- Currently Speech Bar does not accept health insurance. However, if you wish to use your insurance benefit, you will be provided with an invoice of services rendered to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
Do you offer teletherapy?
- Yes. Teletherapy is the preferred method of treatment to ensure a safe environment for both the clinician and the patient. If the nature of your disorder requires in-person sessions, arrangements can be made.
